The Construction Design & Management
Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007)

Design Risk Assessments are used to record the actions of designers when reducing risks in construction and for future repairs and maintenance issues.

This process forms the cornerstone of our CDM/CDMC service.

There are many ways in which these actions can be recorded from a formal design risk assessment document through to a list of actions that appear on an architectural drawing.

As CDM Coordinators we have been successful in assisting Clients and Designers to assess and record risks using Risk Assessment Registers which can be clearly read by contractors when they assess those construction risks which could not be designed out within the design process.

Designers must also consider any risk which needs consideration when a project is complete and handed over to the user. Part of the process we employ allows end users to assess risks from general maintenance, working at height and all the key high risk issues which go towards safe upkeep of a building.
