Are you prepared?  Eye Test Legislation

New legislation covering eye tests for drivers was passed in the EU Parliament in 2006 and is set to be introduced to EU member states in 2011.

The current proposal of this new legislation requires that professional drivers frequent eye tests every 5 years, and also requires private licence holders to be tested every 10 to 15 years.

Research undertaken by Specsavers has revealed that 78% of employers are unaware of this legislation being introduced in 2011, and 2013 as the deadline for the directive to become UK Law.
